This event has ended.

This exhibition features Inui's latest photos from the "Rice/Universe" series, a bittersweet work capturing flowers, people and their looks. Inui's work is considered as "snap photography" due to her approach to subjects. However, if one were to suppose that certain characteristics, being pushy and proactive, define "snap photography", these are missing in her pictures. Precisely because the artist, happening to be present at scenes of everyday life, compelled to click the shutter out of "sympathy" rather than "emotion", means that her personality is not visible and one focuses solely on the subjects of the pictures. Flowers bloom, a dog lies down; there is a middle-aged man, a woman, children. The scene is unremarkable in words; in photography the flowers and middle aged man become distinctive and special.
